Christ The King

This Sunday is the last in the Church’s Year and ends with the reading of St Matthew’s Gospel which portrays the way to enter the Kingdom. We have a picture of the Last Judgement and our preparedness to be admitted. Jesus has to present to his Father ” a kingdom of truth and life, a kingdom of holiness and grace, a kingdom of justice, love and peace “

From heaven you came, helpless babe
entered our world, your glory veiled,
not to be served but to serve
and give your life that we might live.
This is our God the Servant King
he calls us all to follow him
to bring our lives as a daily offering
of worship to the Servant King.
