The French have a telling exclamation to describe September. It is — in English — one word: RETURN. It expresses the beginning of a new season as the memories of July and August begin to fade and we start back to realities.
We begin with the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, which ushers in the time up to October 4th, the Feast of St Francis of Assisi. None of us could have missed the remarkable times with the climate and what is to come with El Niño.

Next Sunday is Education Sunday
For the harvest of His Spirit
Thanks be to God
For the good we all inherit
Thanks be to God
For the wonders that surround us
For the truths that still confound us
Most of all that love has found us
Thanks be to God.
