Lenten Service of Reconciliation next Sunday 3rd April at 3pm at St Mary’s Preston Park

We gather to prepare and then celebrate the sacrament of reconciliation. Remember how: we make the sign of the cross, bless me, Father, having examined our consciences we then confess our difficulties in following the Christian life (our sins) then we receive a penance signifying our intention to lead a new way. We express our sorrow in an act of contrition and then receive the absolution. There will be three priests available Fr Rafal, Fr Carl Davies and Fr John

A wake up call

God calling yet; shall I not hear?

Earth’s pleasures shall I not hold dear?

Shall life’s swift passing years all fly

And still my soul in slumber lie?

God calling yet; I cannot stay,

My heart I yield without delay,

Vain world, farewell !from you I part,

The voice of God has reached my heart.
